Local Experienced Psychotherapists

PLEASE NOTE-- The clearinghouse (Change) that processes our claims to insurance companies, payments from and ERA (provider explanation of payment/benefits) is down due to a ransom cyber attack. Change immediately isolated their servers and shut down. This means that beginning 2/21 we were unable to submit claims, receive electronic payments, or receive remits explaining any payments we did receive. Our EHR is advising on some work arounds but these are clunky and very time consuming. We have been advised that no Protected Health Information appears to have been at risk. They simply shut down the system. this means is that we are unable to process your claims or receive payment in a timely manner. If you know what you are likely to owe for a session, please continue to pay for your sessions, even if you do not receive an EOB as these are likely to significantly delayed. Please also continue to pay your co-pays even if you do not receive a EOB. We are trying to work around these shut downs in as timely a manner as possible, but there are limitations. They are currently predicting it will be several weeks before a new system can be built and available to clinicians. Thank you for your understanding.

Local Experienced Therapists

Welcome to Great River Psychotherapy.

Our therapists came along different paths and from different directions, but each brings a deep commitment to our work and to our clients. We have enough experience and training to have a solid appreciation for time-tested and researched techniques and also enough experience to appreciate each person’s individuality.

We know that the decision to begin therapy may not be easy- or that choosing a therapist may not be easy. It is a process of deciding both do you think the person you are deciding to work with has the experience and training to be helpful and also do you feel you can trust them?
